Huge amount of snow melting and rain causes flooding and it's typical every year. Some years are worse than other and may cause damage to the houses by the river.
We just missed seeing the melting and moving ice on river while we were in Croatia.
Fields are going to be wet for a little while.
From the Island Brač we took ferry (only 50 min) to Split to catch our flight home early in the morning next day. We had about a half day to explore the city. It was mainly just wondering around and eating and playing at children's play ground.
Walls of 1700 years old Palace. This is the heart of Old town in Split. We found nice home stay apartment from Airbnb which was located inside this Palace.
Inner courtyard and stairs to the apartment. Nearby restaurant had a backyard tables for the owners and guests for the home stay. Lady of the house had lived in that same apartment about 40 years. She woke up to say goodbye to us had packed little snack to take with.
I asked Kimmo to take a pic about how Split looks like in the evening while I was staying at apartment with sleeping kid. I did some packing too to get ready for early morning flight.

Island experience was a must and swimming pool too. So we chose the location on Island based on that pool requirement. We had family room with two separate rooms and a sea side view for four nights, perfect!
Postira showed to be great location for little excursions by bike or by foot. Great paths for walking if the strollers for the kid have air filled "off road" tires as ours do.
We rented bikes for few days and luckily there were seat and helmet for the kid too. Only one set though. I would recommend making reservation for the bikes and other stuff beforehand. Postira is a small village with only one bike rental place.
These pics are from Dol. It was 4,5 km walk through vineyard valley to this old (mentioned in historical documents first time in 1345) and almost magical village. The sounds of silence made it exquisite. There were also really good restaurant with long history trough generations.
Sun was almost setting down while we explored the village after dinner. It was bed time for our son. He slept right away in his strollers and after the walk back to the hotel we just moved him to the bed.
