Enjoying the first frosty days at fell Aakenustunturi. I didn’t expect to find any cranberries because snow had slightly covered the ground the night before. Despite of snow covered tuffets, I came home with one liter of frozen cranberries. Oh, my precious berries!
lIt was a rainy day, but I managed to pick and fill two buckets of lingonberries. Mummi was my personal guide finding the perfect spot. It was really easy to pick berries from the bottom of a small gorge. Lingonberry is one of my favorite berries as it goes well with many different dishes.
What a party! Last night we danced on the bridge and day after tomorrow it will be gone. Time to get used to new bridge and new road arrangements.
